Directly contacts vendors and manufacturing resources in the beginning phases of projects. Manages and negotiates purchasing of materials and services for facility. Daily monitors and/or audits facility for compliance to environmental laws. Manages new chemical approvals and MSDS files. Manages certificate of insurance and indemnity insurance verifications for vendors. Manages assigned projects and submits recommendations and/or proposals for process improvement initiatives. Other duties may be assigned. ? SAFETY/ENVIRONMENTAL Monitor AIB housekeeping activity and assures that the plant is clean and organized. Manages the electronic and master manual for material safety data sheets (MSDS). Coordinates hazardous waste disposal and audit facility for environmental compliance to government permits. Writes environmental correspondences to regulatory agency. Notifies governmental agencies in case of an emergency. ? PURCHASING Obtains materials from suppliers at the lowest possible cost consistent with consideration of quality, reliability, or source and urgency of need. Studies and analyzes market /price trends, interview vendors and recommends sources of supply. Negotiates with vendors on price, terms and conditions of purchase. Maintains approved vendor's list and participates in vendor certification. Prepares purchasing authorizations and proposals. Analyzes market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability. Research unique request projects for aid in estimating process or new business opportunities. Assist production in manufacturing trails. Consults with sales and management in researching unique packaging research, quotations, and other value added processes.

? PROJECT MANAGEMENT Leads process improvement projects/ initiatives in manufacturing. Responsible for creating clear and attainable project objectives, building the project requirements, and managing the triple constraint for projects, which is cost, time, and scope. ? TEAMWORK Motivates project teams and exhibit leadership qualities. Communicates and collaborates with peers. Lead by example. Required Skills: EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE BS Engineering degree, manufacturing internship exposure, and project management experience in production and design. Packaging manufacturing experience preferred. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Access proficiency preferred. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret data used for production process or customer specifications. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Team Player.
